Privacy Policy / Privacy Charter

The company Urban Lodge, registered with the ECB under number: ?, and having its place of business at Esplanade 2, B-4050 Chaudfontaine.

In the course of its business, Urban Lodge collects personal data (as defined below), including the Personal Data of persons browsing its website. The www.urbanlodge.be website is hosted on the servers of www.ovh.com.

This document entitled “Personal Data Privacy Policy” is established, in accordance with the law of December 8, 1992 (Privacy Law). This policy aims to protect the individual against any misuse of their personal data and is also based on the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR” or “RGPD” in English) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, which came into force on May 24, 2016 in order to identify minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online.

The personal data controller is the owner of the www.urbanlodge.be website.

The purpose of this “Privacy Charter”, or “Privacy Policy”, is to inform all natural persons concerned, hereinafter referred to as “You”, or “Your/Vos”, about how Urban Lodge collects and processes personal data and about the rights that the natural person concerned has to control the use of such personal data.

The present Charter sets out the principles and guidelines for the protection of your personal data, which includes personal data also collected on – or via – the www.urbanlodge.be website.

By visiting and using the Urban Lodge website, you expressly consent to the collection and processing of personal data by the data controller. This may include the following:

  • Area of activity (type of organization – company, school, etc.) ;

The data controller may also collect non-personal data. Such data is considered non-personal because it does not directly or indirectly identify a specific individual. It may therefore be used for any purpose whatsoever, for example to improve the Urban Lodge website, the services offered or the advertising of the data controller.

In the event that non-personal data is combined with personal data in such a way that it is possible to identify the persons concerned, such data will be treated as personal data until such time as it is impossible to associate it with a specific person.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN’S PERSONAL DATA

The processing of personal data relating to a child is lawful when the child is at least 16 years old.
Some Urban Lodge products or services may be used by children, but under no circumstances will personal data be requested or communicated.

However, if parents discover that their child has communicated Personal Data to Urban Lodge without their consent, they may ask Urban Lodge to delete this personal information by sending an e-mail to infot@urbanlodge.be.

PURPOSES OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

Personal data is collected and processed solely for the purposes mentioned below:

  • to send information on the activities of Urban Lodge;

  • sending promotional information on Urban Lodge products and services;

  • sending, if necessary, offers of services on preferential terms;

  • to answer your questions;

  • to compile statistics;

  • to improve the quality of the Urban Lodge web site and products and/or services;

  • to better identify your centers of interest.

RETENTION PERIOD

The data controller keeps personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes pursued and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Customer personal data is kept for a maximum of 10 years after the end of the contractual relationship between the customer and the data controller, in accordance with legal obligations.


Prospect personal data is kept for a maximum of 3 years after the end of the contractual relationship between the prospect and the data controller.

Shorter retention periods apply to certain categories of data, such as traffic data, which is kept for only 12 months.

At the end of the retention period, the Data Controller makes every effort to ensure that the personal data has been made unavailable.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

If you access our website from a country outside the European Union whose laws on the collection, use and transfer of data differ from those of the European Union, we draw your attention to the fact that by continuing to use our site, which is governed by Belgian law, our general terms and conditions of sale and this Privacy Policy, you are transferring Your Personal Data to the European Union and consent to this transfer.

Urban Lodge takes care to protect and secure the Personal Data that you have chosen to communicate to us, in order to ensure their confidentiality and prevent any leakage, loss, theft or destruction of the data (accidental or following an unauthorized intrusion into Urban Lodge’s computer system).

All Personal Data that you communicate to us is confidential, and access to it is limited to the internal Urban Lodge team who need it to carry out their mission. All persons having access to your Personal Data are bound by an obligation of confidentiality.
